Every Thursday night, the amazing Tanya from Indie Treats & Aparna from Nutsy Nut Dairy, put on a menu of delicious vegan comfort bowls. You can enjoy nourishing, cruelty free cuisine whilst sitting amongst candlelight (and heaters!) and sip on one of the many wines available at the bar. Come back Sunday morning to enjoy the Breakfast Club, featuring some mouth watering plant based breakfasts. My favourite is the Mushroom on Sourdough with Nutsy cashew cheese and dill.
You can't say no to Nodo and if you do, you loco! Not only does one of Brisbane's most innovative cafe's create the most delicious range of doughnuts but they now have the tastiest and healthiest vegan burger in the city!
Say hello (or goodbye to your friends before you enter heaven) to Nodo Donut's 'Mushroom Bun'. Not only is it a no murder burger but it's gluten free too. Featuring a quinoa bun adorned with an activated charcoal crumbed mushroom, kale, romesco and caramelised onions laced with a rosemary garlic cashew cream. The crumbed mushroom is truly impressive; it has the same crunch reminiscent of a crumbed chicken fillet minus the flesh!
Gluten free buns are often dense and can be hard to digest. Nodo's quinoa bun is anything but heavy and is similar to a light damper bread.
Now you might not have 'mush-room' left but don't say bye till you pick up their 'Cha Cha Chai' raw vegan donut and their house blend Gabriel coffee. Thank you Nodo for creating delicious menu options for people that choose kindness over violence!

You can always count on Camp Hill favourite, Picnic Cafe, to deliver a wholesome vegan breakfast. Located on popular Martha Street, Picnic is hard to miss, often bustling with diners enjoying the kitchen's wide variety of freshly baked goods, salads and hearty meals. The only problem in this picnic is choosing between sweet or savoury. The solution to this of course is to indulge and choose both!
Picnic prove you don't need eggs or baby calves milk to make delectable Fresh Stawberry and Cream buckwheat pancakes that are also gluten free. Get ready for a sensory overload because this dish is as appealing visually as it is to your taste buds. Topped with decadent vanilla Coyo ice cream, almond cream, buckinis and strawberry coulis, you'll be savouring each and every last bite.
As for the savoury option, Picnic's gourmet fritters won't have any vegans fretting! Also gluten free, Picnic's Beetroot and Mung Bean fritters are layered with roasted tumeric cauliflower hummus and finished with a za-taar dust.
Picnic's all day breakfast means you can indulge in their cruelty free offerings for lunch too!

The Gold Coast's vegan dining scene is flourishing and this Southport hot spot is at the forefront of exciting, healthy, cruelty free food.
Blend Love is a haven of nutritious vegan and gluten free wholefoods. From their stunning raw treats that sell out daily to their super tasty burgers, you will be coming back for more that's for sure! Passionate about health and environmental impact, you'll leave feeling nourished not punished.
One of Blend Love's burger offerings is the BBQ Ranch Burger which is easily the tastiest vegan burger I've tried on the Gold Coast. Also gluten free, the quinoa bun encases a house made patty with pineapple mustard relish, topped with a smokey ranch sauce which has a freakishly bacon like flavour.
Top off your lunch with one of their famous raw cube desserts which come in a vast array of magical concoctions. A favourite is their Choc-Raspberry dessert or as I like to call it, the cube of ecstasy!
Be sure to stop in to Blend Love on your next Coast trip and join in the compassionate movement!
